each group wore different fashions…
to signify their style.
But, for many of us, we lived to get hold of those rare records…
I signed up for several lists which were sent by mail order from all around the country, and paced up and down by the front door waiting for the post to arrive every week from exotic locations…
Ebony Sounds in Leytonstone, Soul Bowl in Kings Lynn, John Manship Rare Records in Baldock…
How many punk or records did they sell?
Not many!
But they did make a great living selling those all elusive American label vinyl originals to the soulies!

it’s the group of people who have expressed an interest in what you do, collected together in one place, and ready to be educated…
and one great thing that the people on your list have in common is…
they are interested in what you do, and by joining your list they have moved one step closer to buying from you!
